Haul Truck Life Cycle Management and Uptime Strategy: Vancouver, 26 - 28 Sep 2007
James Reyes-Picknell and his colleague Michael Currie, both members of the Uptime Alliance are presenting a 3-day course in Haul Truck Life Cycle Management and Uptime Strategy in Vancouver, BC, 26 - 28 Sep 07. This course qualifies for the UBC Mining Certificate Program, a continuing education program.
This course is part of an EduMine blended learning program that integrates online learning with classroom sessions by industry specialists. The aim of this course is to offer complementary sessions focused on best practices in physical asset management, specifically managing the life cycle of haul truck fleets combined with key concepts in developing a maintenance and asset management strategy.
Part 1 Haul Truck Life Cycle Management The aim of this part of the seminar is to create an analytic framework to impartially assess haul truck investments using reliable financial modeling and sensitivity analysis. Particular attention will be given to the treatment of the key operating variables such as road condition, loading, vendor risk and maintenance, and the way these influence the associated costs and optimization of the net present value of haul truck investment.
Part 2 Uptime Strategy Building on the operations and maintenance issues discussed in Part 1, Uptime Strategy covers the essentials of developing an effective maintenance and asset management strategy. Beginning with how leaders chose excellence through to the development of a full RCM program, this part of the seminar is devoted to achieving better results through improved equipment reliability, lower costs and a safer work environment.
The course is organized by M.G.
