Artesis MCM

Artesis MCM (Motor Condition Monitor) is a revolutionary new system for Condition Based Maintenance of equipment either driven by 3-phase electric motors or driving generators. Using a "model-based fault detection" technique, first developed by NASA for the space shuttle launch vehicles, MCM can detect faults in both the driven and driver equipment. Once installed it goes through a self-learning phase to craete a mathematical reference model of the system. From that point onwards it can detect any abnormality, generate a warning, alarm or even trigger automated work orders. It is installed on the equipment's wiring, usually in the Motor Control Center. Installation is a snap - usually less than an hour, the software is easy to install and then you are up and running. There's no messy field installation of wiring, conduit, signalling devices or sensors. There's nothing in the field to fail. It is ideal for remote operating equipment like pumps in deep wells or compressors in unmanned stations. It replaces the traditional vibration analysis and other CBM methods and eliminates the need for field monitoring just to check on condition. It is inexpensive and easily pays for itself within the first year.
