Dr. Ali Zuashkiani has both practical and theoretical expertise in optimizing maintenance decisions including preventive maintenance intervals, inspection frequencies, condition based maintenance, spare parts inventories, maintenance crew size and resources, retiring age of capital equipment and machinery based on Life Cycle Costing (LCC). He also has a deep familiarity with methodologies that use experts' knowledge in dealing with the above problems when there is no historical data available. Ali obtained his PhD from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto in the area of reliability and maintainability management. He is now a Post Doctoral Associate working with the Condition Based Maintenance Laboratory at the University of Toronto on the topic of maintenance performance management.
